Renowned filmmaker SS Rajamouli, currently busy with the shooting of SSMB29, recently took to social media to share his experience from a solo trek to Deomali, Odisha’s highest and most picturesque peak. The Baahubali director described the breathtaking views from the summit, capturing the raw beauty and tranquility of the location.
Taking to Twitter, Rajamouli wrote, “Had an amazing solo trek to Deomali, Odisha’s highest and most stunning peak. The view from the top was absolutely breathtaking.”
However, alongside his admiration for Deomali’s natural splendor, Rajamouli also expressed concern over the litter he encountered along the trail. He noted how disappointing it was to see such a pristine natural wonder marred by waste left behind by visitors.
“It was disheartening to see the trail marred by litter. Such pristine wonders deserve better. A little civic sense can make a huge difference… Every visitor should carry back their waste to help protect these places,” he added.
Rajamouli’s message quickly gained traction online, resonating with nature lovers and environmentalists. Many fans applauded his call for responsible tourism, urging visitors to practice better waste management and leave no trace while exploring natural sites.
Despite his hectic schedule with SSMB29, Rajamouli’s thoughtful message serves as a powerful reminder that preserving such natural treasures requires collective responsibility and mindful behavior from all visitors. Deomali, located in the Eastern Ghats at an elevation of 1,672 meters, remains one of Odisha’s most captivating natural landmarks — a place deserving of care and respect.
