The Medaram Jathara is a biennial tribal festival held in the village of Medaram, Telangana in India. It is usually held in the month of February and lasts for about four days. Telangana government announced the dates for the year of 2024 Medaram Jathara.

Lakhs of devotees, including tribal communities, flock to the Sammakka Sarakka temple during this festival to pay their respects and offer sacrifices to the goddesses Sammakka and Sarakka. The festival also features cultural performances, traditional rituals, and a large market for local handicrafts and goods. It is a significant event for the tribal communities and is considered one of the largest tribal festivals in the world.

There are several ways to reach Medaram Jathara. The most convenient way is by road. There are regular bus services from all major cities in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to Medaram. The journey from Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, takes about four hours by bus.
If you are traveling from a city outside Telangana or Andhra Pradesh, you can take a train to Hyderabad or Warangal. From there, you can take a bus or taxi to Medaram.
You can also reach Medaram by air. The nearest airport is in Hyderabad. From Hyderabad airport, you can take a taxi or bus to Medaram.
